I won this lovely yarn a while back from
Kat’s blog after she chose my suggested name for her kitten. I wanted to make something special with it so when I wear it I think of her. (She is a fun lady!). It had to be something nicer than socks - though she would have been thought of often, I thought she needed something special.
So with this, I knit my first lacy shawl - using the Swallowtail Shawl pattern. (I have knitted lace, but it has been with heavier yarn). As I begin this project, lace seems to be a leap of faith. I follow along, knitting and ripping and thankfully having a live line once in a while. All the while will not quite know if it works out till it is blocked.
So Kat, if this tanks - it isn’t because of you :-)

PS. More cat tales: We have 3 kittens
(2 boys and 1 girl) left that need to find a new home.
(They have names, thank you very much...) Anyone interested? They are cute! Litter trained, use to dogs and kids - about 10 weeks old.
Stupid zealots at Craigslist keep flagging my postings...

I'm thoroughly impressed. And now inspired more than ever. Just keep that lifeline moving up safely. :)
I love it!! And what cute kitties!!
Life is insane here - truly insane. But, my hope is that Monday part of the insanity will be on it's way to sanity!
