A girl with colitis goes by

Starting a nice knock-around-in sweater. It is a Star Stitch Cardigan from House on a Hill Knits. The diamond pattern reminds me of a dumb song that has been stuck in my head for a few weeks. It got to a point where I knew the line in the song just couldn't be 'A girl with colitis goes by'. I went online and looked up the lyrics to "Lucy in the sky with diamonds". Ah, so it is, "A girl with kaleidoscope eyes." When I read the rest of the lyrics, I think my version just made as much sense as some of the other lines in the song. ... Where rocking horse people eat marshmallow pies...

Done! Finally! My Creme Savers Sweater is finally completed. Again the holdup was just sewing in the zipper. I had the zipper, just was hesitant in sewing it in.

I used Elizabeth Zimmermann's Seamless Raglan Sweater pattern. Her percentage system hasn't failed me yet. Ram-niss loves his version of this sweater too. I just fits so well.

Also completed is Absorba, The big ugly bathmat. I was trying to reduce my stash. Although I do like a few washcloths, I grew tired of seeing the larger skeins of yarn. I always wanted to try this pattern. It was easy and knitted pretty quickly.
I think I just may spring for yarn colors that I like for this next time. :-)

... meanwhile 'Theres a bathroom on the right'

... apology to Creedence Clearwater Revival. It took me many years to learn, 'Theres a bad moon on the rise.'

Reminds me of the lyrics your kids think the song says. Lovely sweaters you got there.

Hee, hee! When I was a kid, I thought the Pat Benatar song "Love is a Battlefield" was actually called "Love is a Metal Key." Don't ask me what I thought it meant...

Great sweaters, and I think Absorba looks nice : )
